Well, the cookies and egg nog are gone. We are getting back into a solid training routine.
It has been VERY cold here in Northern VA which prompts this question-
...can the EFS and Ultragen powders be heated making a warm drink or will the chemical integrity of the mix be compromised???
I've been warming them up,the taste is good, and I soooooo do not enjoy cold drinks during or after runs in these sub-freezing temps.
Thanx

Thanks for the info!
Just ordered Ultragen Cappuccino flavor and can't wait to try the warm treat after running in the cold! Hmmmm...a treat that is good for me...like it!

Great question..and the answer is...yes it will be compromised, but go ahead and warm it up. The only thing you lose is a bit and I mean a very little bit of degradation. You may lose just a bit of glutamine, vitamin c and also the flavors degrade a bit. Its nothing that greatly affects the product nor is it dangerous. Do know that there are no preservatives so if you are warming them do so in a clean container and don't wait three days to drink it.
My favorite in the winter is HOT Ultragen Cappuccino...yummmy.
