HUGE MISTAKE!! I had a fairly strong 2 week block of training planned, then a trip overseas for work. Without my daily dose of MultiV and my favorite product Ultragen I was completely burnt, and I've been sick for the last 6 days!! I won't make this mistake again.

CDA is a great place for an IM!! Very scenic, the town really gets behind the event, and mother nature combined with a tough course usually delivers a VERY challenging event.......and this year did not dissappoint!!
My day started at 4:30am with my Optygen HP/MultiV, an Ultragen shake, 1 large bagel with natural PB and Jam, a large chocolate chip cookie, and 1 cup of Via Starbucks coffee.

First, coming from Calgary (-8 Celcius) on Friday night, to race on Sunday in Galveston (+27C and humid); maybe not the best race plan!!
That said, I knew my nutrition would need to be spot on to have a good day.

This race had an early start, so breakfast was at 3:30AM. One cinnamon raison bagal, one EFS bar, one serving of Optygen/Multi-V and one cup of coffee.
Over the next 2.5hrs sipped on 750ml bottle of EFS grape(2 scoops)
10 minutes before swim start one fuel belt bottle with one scoop EFS grape and one scoop Pre Race.
Bike: Two 750ml bottles of EFS Grape/One 750ml bottle EFS Fruit punch (all with 3 scoops)
