First Endurance Tablets??

Wouldn't it be nice to have Race Day and EFS in tablet form so you could just pop em in a water bottle?  Does anyone know if this would be possible?

Ironman Arizona 2011 Nutrition Race Report

For Ironman Arizona, I decided to go back to what works...I competed in Kona and ended up going with a plan that didn't revolve around First Endurance products, and I paid dearly for not sticking to what got me there...intense cramping on the Ali'i section that led to a struggle to reach the line in under 10 hours.  After 3 Ironmans with Perform as the on course sports drink, I have learned that the concentration of the bottled version is just too concentrated, leading to stomach/intercostal… Continue

Pre Race Capsules and Back to Back Ironmans

First off, I'm calling back to back Ironmans in my case Kona on October 8th and Arizona on November 20th...hardly back to back, but these 6 weeks in the middle have been a huge mental challenge when it comes to recovery, rebuild, then taper.  Let's just say recovery and taper sound great....rebuild?  A daunting task.

After Kona, I was feeling the itch to get to IMAZ for some unfinished business, but as the recovery period ended and I was turned right back into heavy training, I found… Continue

AZ Summer Heat, Kona Training, and First Endurance...

So I finished up a brutal day here in Scottsdale--I can't remember the last time I biked or ran in temps below 90 degrees (wait, that number could be higher!).  Today was no exeption...SRM data tells me it reached 117 on my frame today (yikes!).  I pray to the First Endurance Gods on a daily basis, but today things were put to the test.  4 hours on the bike with intervals built in through the entire ride, then an hour run with 40' at Half IM pace (~7 min/mi)

I normally post…

Arizona Ironman 2010...First Endurance Rocks!

I'm a week out from Ironman Arizona, and First Endurance was a key component to my day! This was my first competitive race in nearly 10 years, and I spent 2010 gearing up to return to Triathlon. I used Optygen HP, Multi V, EFS, and Ultragen, and liquid shot in my training as recommended by First Endurance. I sampled Pre Race along the way and new I would use it "pre race" ;)

My pre race breakfast included oatmeal with One Scoop of Ultragen. In transition, I sipped on a full…
