Echo Triathlon Race & Nutrition Report

Coming off a serious infection after IM CDA I had a little down-time while taking some heavy anti-biotics to get myself back together and decided to mix it up in a local Olympic Distance triathlon up at Echo Reservior before heading off to Vineman this weekend upcoming... it felt great to be out racing again and to blow my legs out!

Night Before triathlon:

I always LOVE to get plenty of vegetables in with some brown rice and tofu with a very light sauce to add some flavor...

Pre-Race Caffeine Experimentation of a Mad-Scientist Gone Right

Hi all!

Happy training and racing to everyone out there! I hope your training and racing nutrition is just as happpy :) Did anyone always wish they had that chemistry set growing up as a kid? I sure did! I have been experimenting with the use of FE PRE-RACE in my gel-flasks lately during my hard training rides, runs and swims(especially morning swim se… Continue

The key to racing nutrition is keeping it simple... your body can only ingest and process so many calories at any given time, especially at a race effort when… Continue

Rage In The Sage Half-Ironman Race and Nutrition Report

Hi all,

Checkin' in after a tough race... I recently raced IM OZ down-under in Port Macquarie and had a mechanical problem on the bike that forced my legs into blowing up 2/3 through, needless to say it was a long day. I wanted to come back and get a good race in my legs where I could finish on my own terms and I found just that down at Lake Mead! The swim was a one loop rectangle that was marked very well, the bike was as hilly as you will find anywhere feat. 6300 ft. of vertical climbing and… Continue
