-New Year's Day 5k- 2nd overall
-Cary Long Course Duathlon- (2nd into T1, 6th one mile from T2, then the deputy pointed us in the wrong direction)
-FORD Duathlon- 8th overall (another bad luck du. Took a wrong turn in the rain on the trail ride and tacked on 3 miles. I was winning out of T1)
-Duathlon National Championship-DNF (heat exhaustion. Dus are cursed for me.)
-Kinetic Half Iron- 9th overall (4:38)
About me
Hi, my name is Chris Walker and I am a junior Neuroscience major at Duke University. I picked up triathlon a little over a year ago and I have totally fallen in love with it. God has blessed me with some talent and potential to develop in the sport very quickly.
I love to train. I love to race. I am also planning on going into medicine. Then I want to go pro in triathlon.
Go Duke!

gluten is a protein wheat and was initially developed by those wishing to substitute vegetable for animal protein. Vegetable protein is not nearly as much of a concern as animal protein.
check out China Study to understand the issues with protein in the diet. I eat wheat and do not avoid gluten. but high amounts of protein can be hard on your stomach....
of interest genetically designed vegetables such as corn are designed to not have protein as the starchy stuff grows better. If we ate Indian corn it would be so much healthier for us. the corn we grow now is not very healthy stuff and is a reflection of philosophy in the 50's about trying to feed the world. we have so much corn now that much of it is fed to animals resulting in a disruption of a healthy food supply... it makes cows so fat and unhealthy that they are all pretty sick before they go to slaughter. (check out the movie King Corn... great animation too)

Good stuff, man. Duke is a great place to be, and your junior and senior years there are the best around. Have fun and go Devils!
