Becky Witinok-Huber's June nutrition race reports! Great month of racing now back in Boulder after my fitness!

NUTRITION for races in JUNE:
As always, especially in places like Iowa and Texas where I raced and it is super hot and sometimes very humid, I'm always trying to drink a lot of water and electrolytes in days leading to my race. As well as get in extra sodium and cut back on anything that is fibrous especially veggies.

Copper Creek Nutrition and yeah Hy-Vee!

I did a sprint race this last Sunday. It was really just to have a bit of rest in my schedule and take some money home. With a hard race effort I would then regroup for the next 3 weeks before my first 70.3 of the season on June 27th. However, I had an opportunity presented to me and after some deliberation with my coach, knowing it would put a bit of a kink in our plan, I decided it was an experience and opportunity I could not pass up. Not to mention potentially win some good money. Already be… Continue

Hey - did you end up making it back for Hy-Vee?

Hey Becky,

Yep I'm in Des Moines - been here about 5.5 years now, from PA originally. Hy-Vee 2008 was my first tri. I saw you're doing KS - I'll be at that one too. If I do well enough at Florida, I may take a roll down spot for Wisconsin - although sometimes I wonder if I'm biting off more than I can chew for my 2nd year...

Thanks for the advice for Florida!

Tom
