Targeting LPIM 2012 as my first full IM - I turn 50 in April of that year! Just began tri training in June 2009. Planning to do first Half IM in Oct 2010.

Second IM for me. First was Plymouth MA on Labor Day 09. Looking forward to a fun Lake Placid. Bringing wife and three daughters.

My hat goes off to all athletes that completed (or attempted) last years IMLP. As stated in a previous post, my wife and I volunteered as Bike Catchers and saw some truly motivating things as y'all went cooking through our area.

My first IM is this year at LP and I am quite excited for it with an equal measure of apprehension. I am hoping for reasonible weather (unlike last year) and enough intestinal fortitude to get through!

Just joined group. Last year was intense. It was my first IM, and the rain didn't help. Was fun going downhill without using brakes! Pretty close to 50 mph in a downpour. I could do without that drama this year.

Going up to Lk Placid to Ride a loop and run a loop on Saturday. It's been a year since I rode a loop, maybe it's gotten easier...

I did it last year! That rain was intense! Nothing like going down that downhill, holding both brakes as hard as I could...and still seeing 38 mph! :) Great race though and I'm looking forward to doing it again this year!

I volunteered last year and was on the olympic oval at the family tent. It was exciting watching and being that close and watching the top finishers. My brother-in-law has done the race twice and I will be joining him this year for my first IM. Also partly excited and terrified:) Road a loop of the bike course and ran a loop of the run last weekend. It is a tough course for sure!
