IM Coeur d Alene invite

As of May 12th we have fourteen members in this group. Stay tuned as you are the first race and first group where we will try and create a little cohesiveness at Ironman Couer d Alene. I will be speaking at a couple nutrition clinics in Idaho and will invite you all to join me. Those who do will get a special gift. Stay tuned and I will post updates and details in the coming weeks.

I will be doing the CDA 2011 as well. Did it a couple of years ago as my first full Ironman but was not as well prepared as I wanted to be. Finished but would definitely like to cut down some serious time.

yikes. 2x25 miles of "lots of hills"

2 loops.....miles 25-50 (approx.) The good thing is the run is relatively flat.

rats. i guess it forces you to learn to manage or you will pay dearly. i dont like paying dearly haha. what miles are the the north portion? I forget if this is a multilooop course? trying to read the back discussions here.

That's what I liked about the bike course......the north portion of the ride has lots of hills, you need to manage your watts or they will eat you alive on the 2nd loop and leave you flat for the run.

fun in what way haha? im supposed to be learning how to tame the bike for better runs. this is the course to refine that strategy. im worried the hills, even with a PT, will bring the beast out and mess me up. what do you think about it?

I raced Coeur D'Alene in 2009. Fun course.....especially the bike course.
