in 1 week i will get on that big ol' jet airplane (well 1 of 3 i will be on that day) to set foot for the first time on the continent of South America for the Masters Pan-Am games in Medellin, Columbia were i will be in the 200m free, 50m fly, 100m fly, 200m fly and 400m free.  i may also try and win the 3000m open water as well.See More

2015 Ironman Texas Race Report - 1st Amateur!

This was my second go at Ironman Texas and fifth time racing an Ironman. Last time, 2013, was a brutal day that saw a high temperature of 91 degrees, high humidity, and a DNF rate of 17%. 2015 USMS Nationals - day 3

get to sleep in some this morning.start off with EFS-Pro washing down the MultiV-Pro and OptygenHP.  and then a good breakfast.today is a speed only day.do a good warmup and have some EFS-Pro afterwards.50 Butterfly - this is a 2 arm dash for cash.  a little slow off the blocks but otherwise decent start and turn.  felt good but again just not crisp.  get out touched and settle for 2nd place but a new PR.drink my cappuccino Ultragen and do a warm down.off to an early lunch and a slight rest at…See More

2015 USMS Nationals - day 2

im in the first event today so i have to get up early.EFS-Pro washes down UltragenHP and Multi-V Pro.  then another championship breakfast and off to the pool to warmups.leading into today i was wondering if i would place better than 3rd in the 500 since the other 2 "big" guys in this race have been training well.  i've swam with them both since Christmas.  never mind the added pressure of being the defending champion.  however, after the 200 all of those fears went out the window like the…See More
